She’s the First’s December Documentary Tweetup with Girl Scouts of the USA (@girlscouts) was a success! For a week of holiday parties and final exams, we actually had a full house of just over 30 participants! We enjoyed speakers from 10×10, who discussed their documentary projects around the world and their goals for spreading the word about girls’ education. The Girl Scouts spoke about their international initiatives, and I spoke with STF members Tammy Tibbetts and Cynthia Hellen about our travel series STF360 and how it’s developing as a tool to attract the public’s interest in the stories of girls around the world.
