This is our November 1st birthday bash celebrating the launch of She’s the First and the work of our global partners! Originally celebrated on our first birthday in 2010, we plan to host the party on the milestone birthdays of She’s the First…which means the next one will be when we turn 5! But don’t worry, we will still be celebrating our birthday annually during the She’s the First Tie-Dye Cupcake Bake-off!
The Soiree fundraises for the sponsorship of girl(s) and the work of She’s the First. In 2010, $1,550 was raised to sponsor Jancy at the Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project in India, and $1,500 was raised for the She’s the First*{Campus} program. In 2011, campus chapters will be able to apply for awards, with the strongest ones winning seed funding to produce fundraisers that return the investment with more sponsorships.
