June 15 – 21 join work on your fitness and support a fantastic cause – every class is donation-based with 100% of profits benefiting She’s the First.
“I believe in the power of paying it forward. It’s not just about reaching your own personal goals, but also about helping others reach theirs,” says Emily Cook Harris, founder of EMpowered, who donates 10% of her business’ profits to She’s the First year-round. “Fit Week is going to be an amazing opportunity for New Yorkers to enjoy an awesome workout at the best studios in the city, and get the added benefit of changing a girl’s life. Seeing all the studios come together in the name of girls’ education makes me incredibly proud to be a part of the NYC fitness community.”
Participating studios include Flywheel, Barry’s Bootcamp, Yogamaya, Uplift Studios, 305 Fitness, The Fhitting Room, Flex Studios, CityRow, Exceed Physical Culture, Swerve, Body Conceptions, Beatbox Studios, Broadway Dance Center, Finish Line Physical Therapy, Yoga with Anna Farkas and Row House.
Sadie Kurzban, founder of & CEO 305 Fitness, shares how “Growing up as a young woman, I felt my body was never good enough. Dance cardio (and 305 Fitness) gave me a sense of liberation and empowerment in my own skin. She’s the First helps young women break the chains holding them back across the world. I’m proud to support Fit Week and the opportunity to celebrate a new tomorrow for women.”
“We sweat with our crew every day, so there’s nothing better than taking a step back and putting that energy towards giving back,” explains Helaine Knapp, Founder & CEO of CityRow. “She’s the First has brought the community together to sweat for a great cause and we couldn’t be more excited to be part with the NYC fitness community!”
