How to Win Free Cupcake Mix for Your Bake Sale
Our Second Annual Tie-Dye Cupcake Bake Off is less than ONE month away!
Naturally Nora and She’s the First want you to be as prepared as can be to “Bake a Change,” so we have some exciting news. For the second year in a row, Nora, the creator of all-natural cupcake mix Naturally Nora, has graciously offered to donate 12 boxes of cake mix AND 12 boxes of frosting to THREE winning teams! (That makes 200 cupcakes!)
This Naturally Nora contest will run for 2 weeks, starting October 17th and ending on Halloween, October 31st.
The amazing detail is that there are two ways to enter: You will automatically be in the running if you have signed up to host a bake sale OR by getting a friend to sign up!
Here’s how you can enter:
1. Sign up HERE to host your own bake sale this November 12-18
2. Recruit a friend to sign up (just make sure they put your name down in the field that asks how they heard about the Bake-Off!)
The more people you get to sign up, the greater your chances of winning! Use Twitter and Facebook as platforms to encourage your friends to sign up.
Here’s a tweet you can send out:
Help me win @NaturallyNora cake mix for my @shesthefirst bake sale by hosting one too! Sign up at http://www.shesthefirst.org/cupcakes
GOOD LUCK!

Meet the Most Generous Donor of the Tie-Dye Cupcake Bake-Off!

In Naturally Nora's Princeton, NJ headquarters, Nora Schultz with The College of New Jersey student (and tie-dye cupcake bake sale organizer!) Jamie Primeau
Nora Schultz believes cupcakes can change the world because she’s seen the undeniable delight this dessert brings to others—especially children.
“Even if there’s no immediate, obvious financial change, you give (a child) a cupcake and the whole energy that comes from it is pure happiness,” Schultz said.
This Princeton resident is the mind behind Naturally Nora, a company that believes food should be made in a kitchen—not a laboratory.
With the help of her business partner and husband Steven, Nora sells all-natural scratch-in-the-box cakes.
Speaking of the upcoming She’s the First bake sales, she said, “You’re taking that (happiness) and attaching an actual financial component to it, which is more long-lasting. It’s just terrific. It’s a great combination.”
Nora is playing a major role in propelling the cause forward.
“We’re supporting the local bake sales—New Jersey and New York—with donations directly,” she explained. “I’d love to be able to send them to all the different sales, but what we’re going to do is pick one sale in particular and send enough mix to make 1,000 cupcakes. So it’s a lot of cake and frosting mix.”
The contest is going on now and for more details, click here! Continue reading
Naturally Nora Offers HUGE Prize to Cupcake Fundraising Teams!
Nora of Naturally Nora has just given us some huge, amazing, and most importantly, delicious news! The gourmet cupcake mix maker will donate, to one VERY lucky and dedicated She’s the First cupcake team, enough cake mix to make 1,000 (yes, that’s right, one THOUSAND) cupcakes!!!!!!!! We’re still trying to calculate how long it would take us to eat that many cupcakes… So before you start drooling — and don’t worry, we still are — here’s how you can win!
1. You must be signed up to host a Tie-Dye Cupcake Bake-Off. If you aren’t – get signed up today!!
3. Enter the contest over on Naturally Nora’s page (you can enter as many times as you want)!
4. Now through October 19th, whoever comes up with the most entries, will win enough mix for 1,000 cupcakes – YUM!
So, get the word out to your social networks — we can think of few things better than 1,000 cupcakes!
*Unfortunately, due to shipping costs, Alaska and Hawaii are not eligible to win, but are still more than welcome to participate. The local New York and New Jersey Bake-Offs will be receiving free mixes from Nora, so they won’t be either. BUT we encourage all of you to participate anyway — imagine how many more people will find out about She’s the First!
